Points from the Preacher:
Dear
Friends:
It has been quite awhile since I’ve written; nevertheless, I
thought the appropriate time had come for me to give you an
update regarding myself and my ministry. As some of you may have
noticed, my preaching schedule over the past several months has
been rather sporadic. So, let me attempt to explain why that is.
For the past six to eight months, I have dealt with a variety of
health issues. Rather than bore you with the details, let me
just say that doctors have discovered that I have a small,
benign tumor or cyst on the pituitary gland located at the base
of the brain causing a disorder known as “hypopituitarism.”
Understand that this is by no means a life threatening illness.
At this point, my doctors are very optimistic that they can
successfully treat my symptoms so that I can continue living a
normal life. However, they are going to regularly monitor the
abnormality on my pituitary gland in order to make sure it does
not increase in size and cause me further problems. With that
said, be confident that I am receiving this as a part of God’s
plan for my life. I fully intend to “trust in the LORD with all
my heart and lean not on my own understanding” (Prov. 3:5).
In the meantime, I am all set to continue fulfilling the divine
call upon my life, and that is preaching God’s holy Word.
Therefore, if you would be interested in having me share with
your church and your people, please know that I’m readily
available to minister wherever He might open a door.
For now, please keep me in your earnest prayers and remember
that I love you all so very much!
Blessings in Him,

Blake Carroll
